NOLA | Roman Road
Bethnal Green based cocktail bar and restaurant inspired by the culture, music and history of New Orleans.
NOLA | Roman Road
Always serving quality interpretations of classic New Orleans food and libations; as well as working alongside actual New Orleans bartenders to help develop our signature cocktail menu.
New to NOLA Roman Road is our recently-launched test kitchen.
Inspired by the finest restaurants in New Orleans, chef 'Dom' Domimique has prepared a menu in the traditions of Cajun and Creole cuisine that pays homage to the city’s storied past while bringing his understanding and training in classical French cuisine to the forefront.
NOLA | Roman Road's interior takes its inspiration from the historic architecture the Crescent City is famous for.
With a unique blend of exposed brickwork, original Georgian fireplaces, vintage paneled walls, Tiffany lamps, Blues and Jazz soundtrack, and comfortable down-home sophistication NOLA | Roman Road is able to transport it's guests away from the bustling Bourbon Street vibe of New Orleans, and into the grandeur hidden deep inside the Vieux Carré for a night you'll never forget.

Our straightforward modern menu which may change a little each week as our Head Chef Loren is constantly looking to bring new and exciting dishes to our table, is uniquely designed around seasonal produce from carefully selected suppliers and artisan producers across Italy and the UK.
Our wines and spirits are selected from small producers chosen either to enhance our dishes or to be appreciated independently.

food
We are a family run restaurant (father and son's) and have been in the business all our lifes.
Our aim is to satisfy our custormers with great food and wine with fantastic value, a warm and friendly service as it should be in a family restaurant.
The chef's (son's) have always been very passionate about food from a very young age and have been involved in the kitchen.
All our food is prepared in the restaurant and our fish is purchased from Billingsgate market, vegatables from New spitafields market and our meat is carefully sourced from various butchers.

We are a public centre, open to all, with no expectation of Buddhist involvement.
Since its opening, a thriving Buddhist community has grown up around the Centre, which today includes a vegetarian restaurant, charity shops and residential communities.

11 reasons to go to Roman Road in Bethnal Green and Bow
food value location menu
The popular image is one of beleaguered enclaves of valiant jellied-eel vendors battling an onslaught of cash-haemorrhaging, craft-lager-addicted professionals.
But there are places where the two tribes live in harmony, and Roman Road is one of them.
Today, thanks to its grocers, butchers, bakeries, convenience stores, charity shops, boutiques, cafés, restaurants, cash-and-carries and thrice-weekly market, Roman Road is home to a living, functioning community.
Given that most of its nearby competitors are chicken shops, this family-run place is surely the road’s best-kept secret.
Stilettos, woks, massive packs of batteries… whatever you need, go forth and seek out a bargain at Roman Road Market, which runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
